About This Game

Banner of the Maid is a Turn-Based Strategy Game set in the late 18th century to early 19th century, based on the alternative history of the French Revolution.
At the end of 18th century, as the House of Bourbon was on the verge of clasping, Louis XVI of France planned to secretly escape from his country. Starting from the French Revolution, the wave of chaos swiped across Europe. Follow the steps of our protagonist, the young female officer Pauline Bonaparte, to start her journey as a regular officer and win battles both on the battlefront and in the political vortex of Paris, and finally write her own heroic story.

In the heat of the French Revolution, the Royalists, Club des Feuillants, Club des Jacobins and Malmaisons, various factions contend with each other on the grand stage of Paris. Starting from the eye of storm, the Malmaison Salon, Pauline Bonaparte have to approach the factions, complete their quests and challenges in order to establish connections with political figures and win over their support, gather funding to improve her weaponry and equipments, secure army supplies while she also tries to discover and unveiled the secrets of the Maids that are buried deep inside the City.

best SRPG since 2000

Not a perfect game, but worth 40+ hrs play time. Story - okay, music - good, game play - yeah, srpg, profile pics - noice. I just hope there's more than just character gallery in game. Say in game encyclopedia of weapons and stuff.

Played for an hour so far no complaint except for the UI that looks like it's meant for NS. The characters are very well designed and written and you can clearly see their historical counterparts' personalities reflected in their dialogue. Louis XVI, tinkerer of locks and refiner of the guillotine, an awkward yet gentle soul. I cannot contain myself knowing his and the Queen's fate.

一个个的跟没玩过独立游戏似的。上来就跟火纹、皇骑比。火纹皇骑能卖你50块钱？作为一个新成立的制作组的处女作，本作各方面还是比较有诚意的。系统复杂度上确实没法和大作相比，但是策略性和挑战性还是有的。抱怨对话多的，你们多长时间没玩过火纹了？IF刷好感对话没刷吐？顺便推荐一个今年新出的Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark，各方面确实都比本作好，当然价格也贵一倍。

Chapter 9 has the dumbest AI escort mission I've ever seen in a game like this. The VIP (princess) will just run herself out into the open and get ganked so you fail the mission. Stupid game designs like this doesn't deserve your money.

Pretty standard for a SRPG so far (super attack at high morale, terrain, different weapons with different attack ranges, unit triangle). But a nice game to play overall.

Very beautiful game with great mission design, if you love history background and anything majestic then you will love it.

For many, the stunning quality of the character artworks alone is enough to warrant the purchase, but “Banner of the Maid” is much beyond an eye candy. Its historical setting is not just a fancy background build for showcasing the mademoiselles – in fact, it’s quite the opposite. It’s a dream game built for the most exigent history geek and hardcore gamers. And it delivers both, plus the vivid artwork.
