About This Game
Why have 218 children taken over a medieval town? A mischievous experience in Pieter Bruegel the Elder’s intriguing painting Children’s Games.
In 1560, Bruegel the Elder produced this puzzling painting of 218 children who have literally taken over a medieval town. They are playing peculiar games, there are no adults in sight and one of the children is taunting you to step in and play hide-and-seek.
That’s when the painting becomes your playground. Can you find the 218 imps before time runs out?
- Find all the children before the time runs out in a Virtual Reality Playground.
- Available on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, with 6DoF tracking

This VR "game" is based on "Children's Games", an oil-on-panel painting in 1590 by Flemish Renaissance artist Pieter Bruegel the Elder. After a short introduction the gist of the game consists of finding all the children hidden on a 3D diorama and putting them back in their correct places. This can be done by physically placing them, or by throwing them into the general area designated with a "whirl" or throwing "balls" of figures into virtual "buckets". Once in the general area of where they need to be they spin into the correct spot quite nicely so you don't have to remember where they originally came from. You get 15 minutes to find all of the figures and I found it quite fun smacking over the wooden houses to find all of the figures underneath. You can do this game in a room sized set up and walk around the table, teleport around the table or spin the table to get where you need to be if space is an issue with your set up. The program is free, it's well done and the voice acting is professional.
Boring find the pieces game, the game was outside my play area so i couldnt finish.
It is the least interesting experience in ARTE France series, boring both visually and gameplay-wise.
doesn't go past the beginning credits. (:||

Fix play area and add support for Index. Other than that maybe more info about Brugel/painting/time when was painted to be more learning experience
Was a nice free to play app that I've never experienced.
Fun little introduction to a painting. I Liked this.
