About This Game
"A Sceptic's Guide to Magic" is an exciting new adventure game from the creator of The Deed and The Space Pilgrim Saga.
Having spent years working as a forensic investigator, Lester Chapman has seen his fair share of disturbing crime scenes. However, nothing could prepare him for witnessing the dark primordial forces at work in his latest case. As he delves deeper into this mystery, the realms of science and magic collide, and cracks begin to form in his rigid perception of the world.
Fianna and Val are teenage witches who have lost their friend to a bloody ritual murder. They will stop at nothing to find the ones responsible, even if it means enlisting the help of a man who seems to have little faith in their magical abilities ...
A World of Magic

If you played the Space Pilgrim series from the same developer, you'll very likely enjoy this game too. As with that series, the emphasis is on the story- you can expect quality, mature writing and a fun and endearing cast. And like those games, this is an adventure game made in RPGMaker that plays similarly to classic point-and-click adventure games.
Another excellent game from Pilgrim Adventures. Dark, Gritty, and with a fast pace, the story more than makes up for any shortcomings.
Another hidden gem by Pilgrim Adventures,
Awesome blend of crime-solving and magic with a scientific twist for fans of the detective and fantasy genres.
A nice change of scenery after playing through all the Space Pilgrim games. I liked the characters and enjoyed the story, humorous but sometimes with a darker touch. The length of the main story is about 6 hours (if you do not get lost looking for stuff too much). There is a bonus chapter but I haven't started it yet.
Got the game before release date and streamed it. First off, I want to say I'm not a huge fan of point-and-click adventures. They've never been my style. That being said, this is what I think of the game after about 2 hours of playtime.
Just completed the game. It was a really interesting story that kept me hooked from start to finish. Offers multiple endings, good gameplay, nice graphics and good believable characters.
Got a key from the Developer a while ago but only just got around to checking this out.
A fun little paranormal mystery adventure and a comfy way to spend a few evenings.
An enjoyable story, fun characters and a decent length combine to make this one of the better games I've seen made in this style. If you are a fan of magical themes and murder mysteries, I recommend this game fully.
This was a really fun and easy game! It's a shame I don't see more people reviewing or playing this. Gameplay is simple, the story is pretty good and the characters are very fun. Definitely worth a shot if you haven't played it.
This game took me by surprise.
