About This Game In Alchemist's Awakening, you are a young alchemist who is still discovering how much power he has.
There are 9 primary elements, which can be mixed together and recombined into blocks of different shapes, or used as attacks against enemies.
Explore an infinite and procedurally generated open-world, use the Wind element to fly from a desert island to an iceberg, discover ruins of ancient builds deep in the forest, find rare resources and settle down somewhere to shape your own world as everything you see is made of small building blocks.
Find some villages and ask around for interesting places, there is a lot to discover.
As an Alchemist, you can recombine the 9 primary elements into other shapes and materials. Then you can place blocks anywhere in the world and build anything you can think of.
Build machines to help you collect elements: for example, create a big windmill to collect the Wind element.
If you like building more than everything, the Creative mode is made for you, with tools that let you build even faster.
Use powerful tools to terraform your own world, and then share your creations on the Steam Workshop or invite your friends to your world.
The Creative mode also let you create a real adventure map: you can write write your own quests, script your own special blocks with true gameplay changes.
All your creations can be shared in the Steam Workshop. Check out what other players made!
Every element can be used as a weapon: launch fireballs, create a strong wind that repulse enemies, or create swords and bows. Your attacks will get even more powerful when you combine several elements.
Fight againt the monsters you encounter in the world such as rhinos and thiefs, and fight against other players in co-op and multiplayer mode.
Give life to Creatures
When you build something with a human shape, you can give life to it and it will start to move and animate.
Command it to follow you, guard your base or mine resources for you.
Depending on its shape and the type of block you used to build it, it will have different strengths and weaknesses.

Alchemist's Awakening user review
Imagine if Elder Scrolls and Minecraft had a child, this game would be it.
Bought this for myself and my two sons, and it has provided many hours of enjoyment. We got a bit worried when taming the dragon as the outro and closing credits made it look like the game was over. However, we were able to continue playing.
Its pretty fun.
As I huddled in my hut, finally stowed away, safe from the storm, I was overwhelmed by the feeling of happiness that only comes with immersion in a well made game world. The rolling waves, the blowing wind, the rain, and the music flow with the storm. It's a feeling I rarely get anymore unless I'm painting or singing. Alchemist has won me over.
The 1.0 release hasn't done much for this title. The system concepts are quite interesting and very innovative, but poorly implemented. I spent 20 minutes trying to sort out how to build a windmill precisely to specification during the "tutorial" before a wolf showed up out of nowhere and tried to eat my face. I didn't have the ability to defend myself in any fashion as I hadn't yet learned how to craft weapons, nor did I have any materials to do that even if I'd had the recipe. I stood on top of a ruin for a few minutes watching the wolf glitch itself out as it tried to climb the wall.
I fell in love with this game right from the very start.
This still feels very much like an "early access" game. It's a great start, but I feel like there's so much more that can be done with it. One of the biggest things I can think of is having a "tool" menu. where you can see all of the things you can build with the tool feature (windmills, anvils, etc) just like there is a crafting menu.
I got this game quite a while ago, and it's really continued to develop since then.
This game, while still in it's early stages, is a very interesting take on an open world, exploration and building game. You can construct an absurd amount of things (as of writing this review, I am in the process of developing a house) and even creatures (attempting to make a form of lava golem using what i currently have available). Due to the small playerbase and the fact that it is in it's infancy, it shows a promise that not many games in Early Access give.
honestly it's pretty tight. its a little glitchy but i loved it :)
Lot's of great ideas behind this game and it's mechanics. It's a small (one-person) development team so the development pace isn't rapid, but the game is fun.
i can't recommend it because your familiar gets lost and becomes hard to reclaim.
I'll vouch for it. The game does not hold your hand. it had me build "a 3x6 structure with acacia wood" and it took me long enough to figure out how to make acacia wood, then i built the "structure" inside my unfinished house and it was a frigging raft. My house is no where near water 10/10 get this game
This game is wonderful I’ve tried almost all of them and this is one of my favorites. Very customizable you can change almost everything and add scripts.
great game. really unique feel. It's good now but you can see where its going
