Overcome crisis and the unrelenting pressure of a frozen ocean. In the not too distant future, where habitable places have become scarce, humanity has arrived on Jupiter’s moon. Europa with its frozen surface is a hostile environment, and life can only be found in the dark ocean beneath the ice – and the small pockets of human habitation are not the only form of life to be found there.

Play with friends in adrenaline-filled co-operative gameplay, navigate Europa’s frozen depths in single player mode and transform the game with fully integrated mod tools and Steam Workshop. Procedural levels and events ensure no two games will ever be exactly alike.

Amazing game, bit laggy, but hopefully kinks will be worked out. was wondering if i should get the steam version after i played legacy, but its worth it.

We play on our own dedicated server for preservation of experience, and its great.

Barotrauma game that will test your friendship and teamwork but let's start from the beginning.

So I'm new to the game, finally get on a sub with a group of randoms keen to work together and not grief. Its a large sub I've never been on, so I don't know my way around.

Barotrauma turned out to be one of the biggest gaming surprises in recent years, at least for me personally. The Steam page does a terrible job of selling the game and the price is really steep, but there's a genuinely good, original game under the surface here... Pun not intended. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend tracking down a few long-form gameplay videos on YouTube to get a better feel for how a typical match plays out. Rather than repeat what's already in the game's pitch, let me list a few of the reasons that I feel Barotrauma is worth buying that it doesn't tell you about:

I played this for a few hours with my friend utilizing bots. The game is extremely unique and interesting. I wouldn't really compare it to anything else. FTL wasn't nearly as dynamic as this game. This game has zero indication if you're gonna die. When things go wrong, you can't see it coming and it's all a haze of panic. The game has alot of potential, but has some gaps that need to be addressed before I would recommend it.

Playing it non stop since i got it. So damn addicting. Made some subs. Editor is very hard to learn. Once you get it down though it is so much fun. Working on getting a dedicated running.
