A tribute to arcade crash racing games of the 90s and 2000s. Turn off your brain, put the pedal to the metal and smash up some cars!
release date: 1 Jun, 2019
About This Game Old School Arcade Crash Racing!
Inspired by the countless metal-bending games of the 90s and 2000s, Crumple Zone brings back the simple, colorful and timeless fun of ridiculous car-smashing.
It's All About Destruction!
You're a bad driver? Great! Crumple Zone is not about racing fast - score high by driving absolutely reckless.
Beat highscores in the arcade mode to unlock new items to customize the look of your stock car.
2 Player Split Screen Mode!
Remember back when this was a thing?
Cheesy Story Mode!
Single player championships are connected by a backstory. Get introduced to the lore, meet your lunatic opponents in visual-novel-like cutscenes and destroy them on the track.
Real-time Damage Model!
With a lot of crumpling - naturally.
Fully 4k compatible and mastered!
If you got the hardware, we got the pixels.
Carefully selected songs that bring back that 90s feeling - sorry, no dubstep here.
This is not Early Access!
You will experience a complete and fun game - which doesn't mean it won't get improvements and additional features like online multiplayer in the future.

i had this game in my wish list for so long as i loved these type of games old classic and easy to play and have fun games i finally was able to buy it today but i was shocked it didnt have multi player as it stated it can be played local i only found split screen i cant play with my brother this way thats no fun whats the point of buying it on 2 laptops or other words buying the game twice to only play on 1 laptop i had my hopes up but it was crushed in an instant this game is nice and everything is fun about it but it does not even have local server to play together by local when they said local which they lied about they only meant split screen i always check if the games has local or online multi player before buying and bam got scammed with this 1
What a blast from the past, want to relive 90s style banger racing with the smoothness of today's tech?
I remember when I got my PSX as a kid, I was eyeballing the Destruction Derby 2 demo on the CD that came with it. I wanted it so bad. Then one time, I was sick and my mom would buy me a game to make me feel somewhat better. Long story short, instead of DD2, she bought DD1. At first I was disappointed, but in the end I learned to appreciate it and had loads of fun with it. Then I got 2, and played the crap out of it. Still do sometimes on PSX emu's.
This game is absolutely crazy, in a good way.
This game is great! The physics seem perfect for this type of game and I see a ton of potential to make it even better! I'd love to see some track customization. Maybe some more in depth car customization, workshop mods, etc. But all in all, it was definitely worth the 15 bucks! I hope you keep adding to it, but if not, it's still great as it is.
There's been a whole load of inspiration from the old Destruction Derby games from the PlayStation 1, but there's also a totally interesting new spin on the idea.
If you want a nostalgia trip to the 90s, this racer is for you. This game looks and plays just like how I thought a remaster of the original Destruction Derby games from the PS1 era would be. The AI can be a bit annoying and the physics sometimes don't make sense, but an otherwise overall good game.
If Destruction Derby 1 and 2 are your favorite games, you'll like this. It's basically a modern day equivalent.
Crumple Zone In-Depth Review
Ah, Crumple Zone. I was lucky to have found you amidst the many mediocre games out there and asset flips on steam and turns out, you were the chosen one. Cruomple Zone may not be exactly better than Wreckfest, but if you want to remember the old times of Destruction Derby 1 and 2, mostly 1 because it seem to refer that the most, I'd say look out for this game.
Good concept, simple game play but the 2 vs 1 part is way to arduous and sucked the life out of it for mine.
this game is so incredible love it so so so much fun i can play for hours one of my fav games ever allready
