The Story"It started about two months ago, I found a letter outside my mother's house during one of my visits from Boston. It had nothing written on it, only a wax symbol on the back of a snake wrapped around a cup.
I recollected seeing one of these letters during my childhood growing up in Providence. My mother took it out of my hand and locked it away in a box she kept under her bed. I saw that the box was almost full and not a single one was opened.
It’s something I think about from time to time, though had mostly forgotten about. I’m almost thirty now and once again held one of these strange letters. I saw no harm in opening just that one, for the sake of my childhood curiosity.
It was handwritten, informing my mother that her father had passed away at his estate in Massachusetts after a long battle with a chronic illness.
My grandfather died before I was born, at least that’s what my mother told me. My family has always been my mother and I and she rarely spoke of her parents or upbringing. The news that he was alive all these years and only a days drive away was devastating.
After consideration I decided to take an absence from work and travel to my grandfather’s house without my mother’s knowledge. Hopefully I’ll learn about who he was and get closure on the years we could have had together."
The manor and surrounding properties sprawl into a maze of corridors, bedrooms, foyers, libraries, studies, galleries, gardens, and more.
Filled with puzzles, traps, and hidden passageways that keep the player exploring and solving the secrets of the manor.
You are not alone, the occupants and even manifestations of the manor itself keep the player running, hiding, or fighting for your life.

Deathbloom: Chapter 1 user review
Deathbloom: Chapter 1 is a good horror game and a good first chapter, so the story.
A short but interesting game/experience. It's basically an FPS Resident Evil with a much more supernatural bent to it. Generally good atmosphere, good writing, and a few decently creepy bits.
You could do a lot worse for a $7.49 (sale) horror wanderer game on Steam. If you want a short spooky trek through an enticing mansion, go ahead and get it.
Deathbloom: Chapter 1 gives a modern take on classic survival and psychological horrors, it is sure to make players feel nostalgic of the old Resident Evil games. It is far from polished and contains many minor glitches, but its excellent suspense-building, genuinely spooky scenes and action packed gameplay make it stand out from other indie horror titles.
Just finished this game on stream, both myself and my chat really enjoyed it. Great work Vincent!
When I was in the garden I had bright lights so, it made it hard to see where I was going. When I entered the house it stopped. The sounds are great. I like how easy the shooting is in this game but I am stuck. I have been running a round for 40 minutes now. I drained the water and the door still will not open. I even watched other YT's and they are stuck too. The map is hard to follow and my game freezes sometimes. But over all I give this game a 9/10
I actually quite like this so far despite a few drawbacks that might keep some people from wanting to buy it.
Really Love the graphics, No Joke when it says Psychological Horror
Has some very good ideas for scares and the art looks very good, but very tedious and I don't understand the saving. The saving seems to activate very rarely, which is very frustrating.
The synopsis of the game really caught my eye with the classic horrors in it so I bought it instantly haha.Initially playing the first part starts out slow but then turns out very eventful later on.I don’t want to spoil it .If you want to check me out playing the first part here you go!!
This game surprised me. The graphics are so so by today's standards, and the character animation is quirky to say the least. But somehow it succeeds in creating an atmosphere that more sophisticated graphics games sometimes lack. The enemies are simple, yet approach you just fast enough to challenge your ability to change weapons given the very limited ammo, and they move faster than you can back pedal. First aid kits are few and far between. Just a few swipes by an enemy and you're dead. Often that means starting the level all over, but usually that can be done in a short time until you reach the attack again, wiser this time.
Great atmosphere and combat.
I've honestly been looking for scary games to play and this game really caught my eye, I've only played the first hour but every second felt like something was gonna jump out at me. The music is very nice and really keeps you immersed and the scenery is very beautiful (so far) i'm gonna keep playing, but for the price you really cant go wrong.
Started off slightly bored collecting keys but once I progressed further the developer managed to build a great level of suspense.
I will be honest with you I downloaded this game 3 weeks age and I 'have been trying to work I had to restart it one or two time but I got it to play walking down, the road how you moved was odd and seemed glitchly and we I got to the garden gate took the map then pressed F crashed on me but I still have hope and will keep trying to get it to work.
