So...we have a ( relatively ) big sale going on now, and this game kinda popped out of nowhere. Is it worth your time? Absolutely! Especially if you dig RPGs from the SNES / PS1 era. :) :) :)
Highly recommended, the characters are unique inside and outside the battle, with their own personality, equipment and skills, the latter can be improved according to the use you give them, leaving you much space for the way you want to build them, but without leaving aside the originality of each one. You will also find several weapons and equipment with unique assets that contribute to the customization of the characters. The story is good, with suspense and fun (I still laugh at the Grando scene), it's not cliche in my opinion, and the music is good. The graphics are retro but original, just like the effects of magic or skills in the battles, that I liked very much too. The game would be missing visible enemies, the fightings are random as in FF4, FF5, FF6, etc., and a map that would give you more exploration possibilities, until now is one direction way only.
I did a stream for this game, here are my thoughts with my current hours of playtime (8.5 hrs).
The strengh of this game is gameplay and combat, which many other rpgs and games are lacking.
This is a very enjoyable RPG with great graphics, interesting characters, a fun battle system, and a very intriguing story. I also appreciate the ability to modify battle difficulty through the options menu and many quality of life touches such as some tip pop ups on maps. Also the custom sprite animations and the thoughtful music adds so much to the immersion. The camera work also in maps and battles is easy on the eye and adds so much life to the world. I am having a lot of fun playing this game!
It's good game but I'd wait for an update, some annoying bugs crawling around atm (missing loot, crashes etc)
