About This Game Farmington County is a farming and town simulator. Clear out the land with hand tools and logging vehicles, and then lay out roads, construct buildings and set up irrigation. Develop your land from a small farm into a massive operation with thousands of crops and hundreds of animals growing at the same time.
Freeform Building and Farming:
Farmington County features a gridless farming and building system. Make your farm look how you want it! Decorate your farm with small accents or build spacious warehouses, garages and barns using heavy construction vehicles. Lay out roads and irrigation to keep your farm working like a well oiled machine.
Real Life Farming Challenges
The challenges in Farmington County will be strategic - which crops to grow in a fast paced, dynamic economic system, where to store them after harvest, how to bring them to market, and how to maintain steady profits. Future updates will also focus on developing an expansive, fully fleshed town filled with NPCs and fun, local experiences.
Hand grown, Vehicle driven:
Develop your farm using a collection of trusty hand-tools, or use a wide assortment of vehicles to plow, seed and harvest your crops. Use trucks and transport vehicles to bring your goods to market in an engaging and efficient way.
You can have a small, sustainable farm, or a farm with thousands of crops and hundreds of animals growing at the same time, each with their own specific growth characteristics. Fertilize your plants to keep them growing quickly, and watch out for pests or they will decimate your crops.

I like this game, It has a lot of potential. This is truly a early access game. So with that being said, the controls are a little funky but the concept is great. Iv only played about 2 hours and so far it seems like there is enough here that makes this a decent start.
GREAT GAME! Most farming games that call themselves sims hold my attention very little they just get boring. This game? NO! Already this game has hooked me I love the fact of starting from nothing with hand tools and a pickup truck and working my way up. I love the crop system and vehicles as well. The hand tools are fun to use and really give a good start from nothing feel. There is a lot to do and it is all fun. I love going to the shops to get supplies, fuel, or repair my old truck which is also a good time dropping the tailgate and taking supplies to my work area and back. This game really has a lot going for it and I have hit zero issues so far.
This is a great game. It reminds me of Banished in the sense that everything is available to you from the start and you have to work your way to earn things you need to grow your farm. There is nothing to unlock. You start with simple farming tools and have to work the land by hand and build your way up to eventually using heavy farming equipment. At that point, you'll have a huge farm because the land that you work on is massive. You also have to fuel and repair the vehicles and tools degrade overtime so it's best to keep them in under some shelter.
Wonderful, cute and refreshing game. The developer seems hard at work making this game into something even greater! You start off with simple tools and a old truck, buy some seeds, cut down trees and sell them to make money and increase your farm! You can buy all manner of farm vehicles to assist you on the farm! I'm not far into the game yet but I know its something a lot of us have been looking for, for awhile! Very nice farming sim, this game doesn't give me anxiety because I'm being rushed or shoved into doing something. Relax and farm is what I always wanted in a farming game! Highly recommended.
It seems playable but only in a sandbox state with some bugs, which should be no surprise. It has a lot of potential, and it already has a lot of content. But it still has some work to go before I would really put a lot of time into it. I've looked around in the game but barely scratched the surface so far.
A pretty decent alternative to a game like Stardew Valley. It's basically Harvest Moon, but with a pickup, in the early phase and as far as I can tell this eventually falls away into a very vehicle-focused game so you can finally ditch the frustrating, tedious nonsense that make up the hand tools.
needs a snap to grid function will try this again later. would you recommend this game... we need a "maybe" option still won't leave it a negative. I have hopes for this game plz snap to grid option in a future update. thank you.
So many reviews say what a great game but that's if you can figure out how to get started. there is no tutorial really. some info as to objectives but not the basics of the game. Why can't developers start with some basic instructions. the visual guide is overwhelming and confusing and not appropriate at first. start simple and small and help the player the game first. Time after time developers don't do this - basic instructions. You have to completely figure it out yourself. I'm not interested. tell me how to play the game or don't bother putting out a game in the first place.
Farming County is graphical simple but actually has very deep gameplay. Game is making with passion by only one person that is very active in development and communicative on steam forums. Game is at the first stage of early access but even now there is alot things to do, actually game is like narcotic, when you launch it you can't stop playing. Roadmap for this game is impressive and I can't wait to see where it will go. If you are fan of chillout ambitious indie games like me and you want to support this amazing project then you should give it a try.
Really interesting early access farming game, has an new free for building mechanic. I feel if the creator keeps up with updates that this will soon be really amazing game
Not recommended in current state. Wait to purchase. Controls are clunky, tutorial only shows keyboard controls and skips telling you what gamepad controls are. Overall...not the best experience starting out. Might give it another go later on, but at the moment. Needs a grid, for sure, because I could NOT, for the life of me, plow straight lines by hand and it made me lose complete interest in the game almost immediately.
So far so good and from the looks of the website they have some good plans ahead. will defo keep an eye on this game
Bought the early access a week ago or so and started out rough with controls etc but once I got it down I was more and more intrigued. So far I'm really happy with where it's at. Only have 35 hrs so far. Obviously need more tweaks and others but after reading forums and seeing everyone's issues and comments I couldn't be more enthused about where this could potentially go. Keep it up and you got my time and money.
Really enjoying this game so far. It is quite expansive and has plenty of playtime for an early access game of this nature. If you enjoy games like my time at portia, stardew valley, and harvest moon then this game is perfect.
I'll give m input after an hour, I'd say yes, I recommend adding more simulations inside the game but it's great and I have seen the developer being involved in the consumer.
