publisher: Hello John
About This Game Mechanic Miner is a construction and survival game where you build mechanical steam-powered machines in a physics based sandbox. Gather resources, kill monsters, acquire new technologies and use your imagination to build crazy mechanical devices to conquer any challenges in your way.
In Mechanic Miner you can design and construct any kind of machine! Build a catapult, a submarine, a battle tank or a air balloon - all simulated through the physics engine
Mechanic Miner has over 50 different parts and building blocks for you to play around with, and we’re constantly adding more. You can also share your designs with your friends through the Steam Workshop!
Get creative, get better, build more advanced stuff and become a mechanical mastermind to conquer any challenges that may lie ahead.
In story mode you’re stranded on a strange and treacherous planet, where survival is made difficult by hostile animals and plant life. You did bring a multitool from your home planet, which is able to craft any kind of machine part - provided of course that the right raw material has been found. Relying solely on the technology you brought, you set out to explore this new and unkown world. But the road isn't paved with ease. The surroundings of your new home will threaten and challenge you! You will face waves of monsters and fight unrelenting bosses that show no mercy. To survive and advance the storyline you must acquire the necessary steam-powered technology, that will allow you to delve deeper into the diverse biomes of the planet, and perhaps, ultimately, lead you to your escape.
In creative mode you can let your inner mechanic shine. You can create anything! With unlimited resources at your disposal, immortality and the ability to fly - the only limit is your imagination! Creative mode is great for those who just want to let their creativity flow without limitations, and with the blueprinting tool you can easily make a copy of your contraptions and use them in story or survival mode, if you have the resources for it.
In survival mode you can follow your own path. Start with nothing and explore, gather, research, construct and fight for your survival. Survival mode offers a challenge for advanced players - you will have to use your wit and imagination to create contraptions to withstand the harsh environment, aggressive enemies and devastating Aether Storms that wreak havoc over the planet.

Mechanic Miner user review
After playing the first act of the story mode for a few hours, what we have is a game that has some potential, but needs some serious tweaking of pretty much every system other than how the vehicles work themselves.
I received this for free during the closed beta. I had fun playing it. Then I had my key revoked 2 days before launch. Still bought it because I wanted to try going further in this game.
TLDR: cant recommend this at $18 USD in its current state. wait for sale or updates
Amazing game, been following for a little over a year and have not been let down with the constant bug fixes and updates!
Not a bad game. Bit buggy, but thats no problem cos the dev can always sort that out. Good concept too. Altho it kinda seems you can get trapped in an area because you've run out of resources.
Some kind of Terraria-like game, but offers many features that Terraria doesn't have.
This game certainly has potential, but also many problems, including bugs and crash. There's no time to make vehicles, because you're always attacked by strong enemies. The inventory seems to be unresponsive somehow. Caves are very narrow and can't be zoomed out enough, so enemies often attack from outside the screen. To make matters worse, they always stuck on the vehicle or cause annoying blindness. If you make equipment with valuable resources, you will also need valuable resources for repairs. I think it's completely nonsense. Recommended only for people who have plenty of time.
Can't rate it positively as of now. Too much bugs in the UI making it barely playable. But it's still a promising game, can't wait to see how it evolve.
Played for about an hour and i experienced about 15 game crashes, and now my save wont load and it crashes instantly. I made another one and same amount of crashes. Not cool game. Not cool
Awesome game. Great potential.
I regret refunding it.
2 hour refund limit for any and all games is a fairly large bummer (me playing longer then 2 hours I guess was me giveing it the benafit of the dought not I regret it)... watched a couple youtubers play and they thought I might be interested so I bought... now I regret it 2 things I find frustrating to the point that this game is now going to collect virtual dust in my library, ONE there is an enemy that apparently all ways shows up over and over again hunts you down no matter where you are is very powerful and will rip your creation to shred very quick if you are not paying attention or you don't have a operational weapon to shoot it with, reason number TWO the second tier weapon "the cannon" unlike the balista it does not matter which way you are "facing" all canons will fire weather it is shooting your creation or shooting an actual enemy... only good thing is it does not damage your creation but the fact remains that it is firing and wasting ammo
get it now
Could be good, but there are too many bugs, I'd wait until it is finished to purchase.
2D Besiege with Devs constantly fixing bugs and adding suggestions (there is also a discord if you wanna learn more about the game)
The game simply is very grindy and unfun. You're very limited in what you can build and have to grind to make better things, and while it's a decent beta, for the price of $15 even during the Steam Sale, my money is better spent elsewhere. I have high hopes for this game, but as of now, it's not exciting enough to keep it.
you ♥♥♥♥ing game is sssiiihhhtttt!!!!!!!!
love the game can't wait to see more content added soon
Great game! has alot of potential! just like any other early release game, there are a few things that need fixing but that aside 5 starts!
worth the long wait
