About This Game
Every day, millions crowd the metro in a desperate bid to get to work. Can you build and run the perfect metro station to help them make it on time?
Overcrowd is a tactical management sim set on the metro of bustling city Lubdon Town. Blending base building with pausable real-time strategy, Overcrowd offers a unique mix of spatial puzzling, strategic thinking and split-second choices.
Excavate your way through 4 layers of earth. Design your layout carefully and plot commuter routes with user-defined directional signs. Keep things on track with a wide range of equipment to unlock and procure.
You’ll need to assemble a crack team, tool them up and deploy them to run your station in real time. You can set priorities, schedule breaks or just deploy them manually. Keep your staff room well stocked and your employees levelled and you can take you tube station to new depths.
Commuters have needs, just like you and me. The hazards of a badly run station - delays, heat, dirt, rats - will affect their state of mind and your station reputation. Beware hoodlums and pickpockets who will try to derail your operation!
Everything from bin emptying, generator refueling, power, litter collection, heat, commuter AI, shop prices, stock and staff activities are simulated down to the individual level. The huge range of interacting systems gives scope for emergent and unpredictable gameplay.
- Procedural campaign. Build a network of stations in the procedural campaign, procuring more tech and hiring staff as you go. Return to past stations when you have more resources and try to earn a full 5 star rating!
- Sandbox mode. Define everything from money, staff, map size and win/lose states. Make the game as easy, as hard or as creative as you want.
- Commute of the day. Build a station on a randomly generated map, unique to that day.

Overcrowd: A Commute 'Em Up user review
Amazing game. Makes you think, plan ahead, and if you fail, you can try again with a whole new strategy!
I hard ever write reviews. 36 hours in. Love this. Cute, simple design that becomes challenging very quickly. I really like the way that you have to complete a challenge to progress to the next level, then you can use any new unlocked assets and replay previous ones. Excellent early access effort - very playable and enjoyable.
It's much more of a puzzle game with a lot of repetitive micromanaging, than the sim/management game I was hoping it would be. Not a bad game per say, but definitely not what it sells itself to be.
This game is a gem.
Fun if you're into game mechanics and art style, didn't like art style and I kept having issues raising and lowering the ground.
Funny concept, but to play not much fun
It is very fun, only i would suggest adding platform edge, or screen doors as well as people jumping on the track
Overcrowd is a classic hark back to the micromanagement sims of old, with bright and expressive pixel graphics (akin to Habbo Hotel) and a solid foundation.
Highly addictive and engrossing. Eventually you run out of content, there is minor ai glitches, but 30hrs of game play is pretty sweet for £13 and I'll come back when more is added
Great game. I've apparently played 42 hours (and completed a full campaign) and only stumbled across one bug. This is how early access should be done - playable and balanced. I look forward to seeing what other features will be added.
I must say! I only played the 2 tutorials and this game is super fun! It has kind of a relaxing but rushing vide! They also have great customer support, Thanks Squareplay games for this amazing game!
normally i like autism games but this one has too little automation
Great for an early access game. The odd glitch or two, but entirely playable. A really great concept, and while the difficulty can be a little on the high side, it's definitely the simulation challenge most simulation players are looking for. You can definitely micro manage everything if that's how you like to play.
Already tons of subway managing fun in Early Access! For management and logistics fans, this title should hit home.
OC is a delightful mix of simulation and puzzle. The artwork and sound effects are fantastic and really immerse you in the experience. The devs are very dedicated and have been patching the game frequently. If you're a fan of commuters (OpenTTD, Transport Tycoon, Sim Airport, etc.) definitely check it out!
i am old school but this was perhaps too old school and manual for me
