Rise of Industry user review
The game is shallow and oversimplified. I struggle to undertand who is the target audience for this game, as the menagement/logistic gamers usually are after complex and difficult games with a plethora options and cutthorat AI to challenge them. But this game is a very casual take on this genre.
I think the game has a long way to go before I would recommend the game for it´s current price. I found the tasks repetitive, especially setting up the logistics and flow of goods between industries. I was also annoyed by the constant production alerts when setting up a large industry complex, such as textile. When merging with an AI-competitor the game gave me all assets unconnected from another resulting in immediate bankruptcy. To sum it up, the game felt far from finished.
This one is kinda hard to tell. The economics are nice, the graphics and sound design are nice but something feels off. I can't quite put my finger on it. However the game itself can be quite fun...If you enjoy tycoon games that is.
Enjoyable logistics sim. Not a ton of content, but the mechanics are solid and it's fun for a good while (see my played time).
The game keeps crushing all the time, and at some point without being at a saving process it stops responding has the loading icon on my cursor. It's a very nice and interesting game but this makes it unplayable. Also for some reason when the game does an update the saved maps don't update automatically and they say at the bottom right "game is not up to date". Please fix these issues and ill be more than happy to change this review in an all positive one. Keep up the good work. Its an interesting project and i'm waiting to see its evolution through time
This is a hard one, and while I do think that certain people will find this engaging, I can't recommend it generally. There's simply a lack of interesting gameplay in this title - there is simply not a lot of interesting choices to make, or obstacles to overcome. It's too abstracted and simple to be an engaging simulation, and the player lacks tools to engage with the underlying systems in a fun way. But beside that fundamental problem, it's a solid product. There's a fair bit of content, more than I expected, and I've encountered almost no bugs, none worth mentioning. The presentation is better than most small-team developments.
This game is an absolute masterpiece. I bought it in Early access and just waited a bit. This game has improved greatly since then and I am excited to jump in again and compete with some AI. I also saw that they have stream lined a lot of the process witch is really nice as I could take quite a lot of time to mess around with that stuff. Overall great game which I have really enjoyed, and the amount of work and care put into it is very clear. great job Devs!
Best industry simulation I have ever played. I highly recommend this game to those who like to build and manage supply lines. So far I have barely scratched the surface of this game. Still haven't tried warehouses and railroads.
This game is fantastic. Unlike other production chain/logistics games that are more of a sandbox toy than a game (OpenTTD, etc), this actually has an end goal to aim for (buying out your competition). Or, you can play without AI opponents and just enjoy the sandbox. Either playstyle is good.
Good game, I liked it, but I won't recommend it.
If you like mid level micro management, with production line appeal. Then mix in town growth and money matters. your good to go here. Get the game and crack open a cold beer.
Great game for when you are on those conference calls....
This is rather on the primitive side of industry simulators. And any challenge seems to be non-existing.
YES! ABSOLUTELY and UNEQUIVOCALLY YES!
Great game (so far). I'm still in the stage of constantly learning and restarting, which is a good thing as I haven't dropped the game but am intrigued to do better.
