Only 25 out of the 74 games shown in the museum are playable, most of which are generic shoot 'em ups. You don't even get to play sequels of included games like Atom Smasher or Vanguard II.

It has Athena in it. Athena is great, Athena is love! There is a reason why she is at the forefront of every poster for this collection...

I bought this to officially own both the English and Japanese versions of Psycho Soldier, for that reason alone it's already a 10/10 for me

I bought this collection once I saw that they had one of my childhood favorites (Crystalis) included in this compilation. The emulation runs great and the extra features (Museum, artwork, manuals) included are a nice touch.

A quality compilation of SNK's games prior to their NEO-GEO days.

This is a collection of over 20 SNK arcade and console (NES) titles from the early 1980s up until roughly 1990 (before the Neo-Geo), with an emphasis on shooters that were controlled with a rotating 8-way joystick and also action platformers. There are a couple of notable franchises here, namely Ikari Warrios and Athena, who would become something of SNK's mascot. Also included is the awesome NES action-RPG Crystalis, still as great today as it was in 1990.

I have been on retro kick for quite some time. This SNK collection turned out to be so much BETTER than I thought it would be! As others have commented, this does NOT contain NeoGeo games. However, you do get:

SNK never fails with imports this is a wonderful collection. I am a happy buyer of these amazing classics thank you SNK.

If you are a fan of SNK, grab it. It's worth the money.

This collection have all my old Famicom time SNK favorites. Works with linux. Must buy!

Digital Eclipse and SNK really hit it out of the park with this collection. Great emulation (in some cases better than MAME, even), and a crapload of extras and information you wouldn't usually see on other retro game collections. Even at full price, it's highly recommended if you like SNK's pre-Neo Geo library.
