About This Game

SteamDolls is a steampunk inspired metroidvania game with a grimmy touch of stealth and brutality. You assume the role of a cunning thief and anarchist known as "The Whisper" and make your way through heavily secured environments. Blast your way to your objective or Stick to the shadows and perform violent stealth kills on unsuspecting guards as you struggle with the haunting apparitions of a mesmerizing witch trying to reveal the truth about a conspiracy that could shake the very foundation of the world.

Best game I have played for free all year.

Pretty good stealth platformer. Ignoring the minor jankiness which will presumably be fixed as time goes on, it's a solid, stylish game, with cool (if limited) animation, and adorably similar in tone to Heavy Metal Magazine, every teenager's favourite magazine in the 80s. Definitely looking forward to this one. Worth trying out the demo if you have a few minutes.

This game is fun and I cant wait until it is released but I have found some bugs. One bug is if you melee when you are falling into a death pit you just keep falling!

Short demo but pretty fun. The visual style is great, and the gameplay feels relatively smooth. It should be interesting to see where this goes as it develops.

The game is a very interesting concept and absolutely beautiful in my opinion.While no game is perfect and this is just a beta this is definetly a game to keep an eye on.The developer seems to be comited to this project as well which is always great to see.The game is stable and I personally only experienced one bug and it wasn't earth shattering it just needed me to go back to the main menu and to reload at the last checkpoint.The animations for executions aren't varied but this is early access so it's understandable it's free in all sense of the word so there isn't a reason to try it out.Now I'm a huge fan of stealth games and in my opinion the stealth isn't anything amazing but it still does it's job another thing is though is there are sections where there are multiple enemies right next to each other and even if you execute the one that is behind there is a likely chance that the guy in front will turn around and attack you while you're in the animation.All in all SteamDolls is a really interesting game and one I hope makes it like subnautica.

I thoroughly enjoyed this demo. I loved the way it played, the combat, the different art styles that were implemented on the different levels to almost contrast each other (background, models, assassinations), and topping it off with solid snake makes it that much better. it was well done all the way around in my opinion. I'm usually not one to play platformer style games (nothing against them) but I played the demo 3 times (and not just because my recordings failed me...) and I can't wait for the release of the rest of it. the opening cutscene alone got me hooked lol
