UNSUBSCRIBED is a 2019 Canadian 'found footage comedy horror' game made by Alain Lagace (BMC Studio) The game is a live action interactive story. It features Goodigo (Twitch Streamer), Undead unicorn (Voice in Sexy Comedy), Galaxy Goober (Voice in Jekoos) and Mr Despicable (Actor in Real Life Battle Royal) as friends in an online video chat that is taken possesion by Steve's (Undead unicorn) brother (Alain Lagacé) because they didn't subscribe to his MyTube channel.

Thanks for the non-horror spam game that was sent through Curator Connect to a curator that only reviews horror games, while disguising your non-horror game as a horror game with content that's not even IN your game.

The reason this game gets a negative from me is because this isn't really a game. This is basically a video promoting itself and their other projects with a few multiple choice (FEW) thrown in. There is no real gameplay and definitely no payoff. If the production quality was better with actual substance then it would've compensated. However, the jokes are as terrible as the acting and the storyline even worse. If there even is one. If that's what your into then this promo is right up your ally. But if you're looking for actual gameplay, story, payoff, you know, an actual game, then this is not for you. This is pure advertising and promoting that you paid for with no actual game to show for the purchase.

In the 20 minutes I've 'played' there was no interactivity at all except for 2 minor choice-moments. The first 10 minutes entail the story that you see in the screenshots. The whole desktop is not clickable. You basically just have to sit and watch them act like they have a Skype chat, which is pretty cringy. Every sentence is cut-in and there is mostly no story to it, just silly jokes. After that, it cuts to a video (a cooking show parody) that has nothing to do with the story. After 10 minutes I stopped watching, so I never figured out what the point of that was.

While the idea is not bad, the execution is.

A true masterpiece of a game. While delivering a horror experience that made i tremble in fear it doesn't fail to tackle important aspects of our modern day society like paedophilia, bodily autonomy and waste of food in a way unheard of in mainstream media. The choices you make have the ability to change the story in a significant way and every ending has a its own right to exist and delivers an important message.
