About This Game

XERA: Survival is an action-focused looter-shooter, designed from the ground up as a multiplayer, open world PvPvE experience with a global gear stash you can access from any server.

2022: The era of AI has arrived. The world is in chaos after a prototype combat robot - banned by law and awaiting secure destruction by XERA Corporation - became self-aware, escaped and began replication on an industrial scale. Failed attempts to remotely shut down the AI simply triggered a war that humanity could not afford to lose.

Nation turned on nation in a fight for control over resources to defend against the robots. With the attention of the world’s military elsewhere, disenfranchised operatives have gathered to ransack what was left of the XERA facilities, setting up two forward operating bases, safe zones on each side of the forest that was the hiding place for mankind’s greatest failure of leadership.

Between these bases there are no rules of engagement, as for some, nothing less than the future of the human race is at stake; for some there is a potentially boundless paycheck; and for others perhaps, political leverage. For all, the only imperative is survival.

But then again, no one expected the robots to be waiting.

MULTIPLAYER WITH PERSISTENT GLOBAL INVENTORY

XERA: Survival has been built from the ground up as a multiplayer game you can play with your friends or against others from all around the world - the choice is yours. Store your gear safely in a persistent global inventory. Log out from an American server, and access all your items on a European server. Venture out on raids using your selected load-out with friends, or meet players from all over the world! We have servers operating in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.

Communication is important in any multiplayer game. Whether you're screaming “I’m friendly!” or taunting your enemies - you will be heard. With directional support, you can pinpoint where the voice is coming from.

PLAYER VS PLAYER VS ENVIRONMENT

Venture out in search of glory, revenge, salvation, leverage - or hard cash. Scavenge for weapons, ammo, food and water, medical supplies; craft the tools you need to survive a harsh and unforgiving forest environment. Deploy drones to scout, transport – or close the business a bullet left unfinished. And when you’re ready to stash your loot – just make it back alive to either of the safe forward operating bases.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN PACE (FARM OR FIGHT!)

Use the cover of darkness to avoid PvP combat, build your resources and focus on PvE takedowns to scavenge the best loot. In the base you can trade safely with other players, or save to your server-side stash. Alternatively, you can choose to tool up and raid as a lone wolf or teamed with buddies, dropping where you want in the 4x4km world using regular helicopter insertions f

This game is what the "genre" survival needs to get back on the top, This game has a lot of potential and is really well made! Developers are active working on the game at all times and are open for the community to suggest suggestions at their discord. And dont forget this game was developed by just ONE man for 2 years!

very fun

When this game had the player base it was a fun and neat take on the survival genre. My entire current gaming group migrated to this game and we had a great time. As it gets more development attention I think the player base MIGHT return.

I have been putting off writing a review and for the life of me I don't know why. Where to start? Well this genre of game has been near and dear to my heart for many years. Though where greed and corrupt developers made me think this genre was dead. I was and am proven wrong with Xera: Survival. Xera has reopened my eyes that this genre still has a fighting chance with the game waves that is BRs (Battle Royals).

the team thinks they lack players because of missing content but the truth is the gameplay itself is the problem, their so called ingame events are campfests, you have 0 mechanics to fight against campers and the ttk is so low that a camper can only win

I got this game not long ago and well... Saying it's an excellent and smooth game to play is an understatement. One person in particular (g0tcha) has helped me from day one of playing, helping me out from gearing up to saving me in tight situations and answering any questions I may have about the game. The game is super fun to play with friends or as a small group of new players exploring the game just as you are. No pay to win factors as far as I've seen. I recommend this to anyone who likes a good survival game that isn't super harsh to start out and likes to kill those robot scum!

Game is dead dont waste your money. average of 6 players per 35 man server. No development and no future. save your money.

Literally a very dead game. Wasted 40 hours of farming for nothing. 0-5 conccurent players per month.

This game is still in early access - although I'm liking the idea of this game in every way.

Playerbase dropped harder than soviet economy after WW2.

Lol trash game just a copy of NewZ with better graphics. Wipes out GI because they can't balance their own game.

I talked to joshua and tried to tell them to do something w the game and he acted like a straight child and thats how i know this is just a quick moneygrab just a shame no developers actually care for the players opinions, the game is dead and the devs r delisuional. dont buy unless u wanna play by ur self

Trash money grab.

So this game is a work in progress it is amazing when you get to know the people playing it but it gets boring when you are solo farming. The game has some challenge to it early game but when you get geared its gets to easy. This is not a bad thing for people who like a chill game with some challenges. The PVE aspect of this game is amazing but far to few dangers in the world as it stands but that can be fixed. The PVP is equally as good and gets your blood pumping. To me this game fells good has great FPS for and early access title. I think the devs are going in the right direction with it. I would and will recommend this game to friends and viewers on my twitch channel. I will be streaming this from time to time. Amazing job Devs keep it up I will right another review when the game comes further along.
