About This Game

bitDungeonIII is a 2d action adventure game with rogue-lite elements. Randomly generated overworld and dungeons. Make allies with other players or kill them for their precious inventory items. Discover random items that greatly enhance and affect your character. Save a world that can't be saved.

Features:

Permadeath. You get one soul and only one chance to retrieve it when you die. Killing Bosses also grant souls.
Randomly generated overworld, dungeons, secrets, items and humanoid npcs.
Online play with the invasion crystal using the steam network, co-op and pvp.
Invade and kill other players to obtain their unequipped inventory items and soul.
Play as a casual character if you do not want anyone to randomly invaded or joined unless using the friend list.
Each weapon type has a unique power attack and stat scaling.
Level up based on which weapon you use. Change weapons to start leveling up that weapon type going towards your general level.
Powerful weapon enchants dropped from bosses.
Augment your character through changeable stat runes collected throughout your adventure.

Rather short, would not buy if not on sale. Most of the time no available worlds to invade. And it seems that some invaders are so desperate they keep coming in to my world after leaving it. Can be boring.

If you liked the second one you will like this one. It's an enjoyable little game.

amazing game the combat exploration leveling and weapon are all well made

if you are here, you have hopefully played one of the earlier installments of 'bit dungeon'. if not, here's a quick rundown:

incredibly confusing game, no way to know what any stats or abilities do. have to rejoin friends after every dungeon because it places you back in a singleplayer world. if you're not the host you can't pick up half the items or interact with anything. if the host dies during a boss fight, everyone else is kicked out.

Having a great time with this game so far! I have played the other bit dungeon games and this one seems to be the largest.

If you want an enjoyable experience with a bit Dungeon game, play 2. This one has basically no information on itself and it's just objectively annoying to play in. Had a lot more fun with the 2nd game than this one.

I've played a lot to say the least in a short time.

If there was an option for 'Good game, bad features' then I would've picked that one over not recommended. Sadly, no such option exists. It pains me to pick it, but I simply cannot recommend this game until they make the Multiplayer aspect of it 100% optional as a toggle in the game itself, regardless of whether you're Online, Offline or somewhere in between. I don't want to have to keep setting myself in offline mode, forgoing achievements as and when I should earn them, simply because I don't want random people to just hop into my game without any consent on my part. Other online games offer a Lobby function or matchmaking function which allows the player to choose whether they wish for randoms to play with them or if they just want friend groups. This game offers no such thing aside from force-setting Offline Mode on Steam.

I will start off by saying that there are thinks I like and things I hate about the game. That said, I totally recommend this game.

Is fun co-op and super chill.

Lots of fun here. I was a fan of the first two games and this one is no exception. Bigger than the first two games with lots of replayability. Also, really nice to see Kinto taking player feedback to heart with updates and fixes.

Playstation controller support is great. I do recommend this game, but also, please play BitDungeon II. there are more puzzles in that one :)

I don't know why this game was recommended to me and I don't know why I bought it. This is obviously not for me, I had no clue what was going on the entire half hour I was playing and quit thinking that I shouldn't ask for refund because this needs to be a lesson to myself.

wow this game is amazing and if one is willing to look has an interesting story. there is a windows 7 bug that you can fix (at least until it gets patched) by switching to the beta version. great game fun to play 10/10.

If you've played Bit Dungeon II, you'll probably like this game. I can't comment on the first one since I've never played it.
