For a 20-30 minute experience, this was one of the more interesting games I've played of late. It's simple and straightforward, but as I progressed I found myself in a rhythm, in an almost meditative state. It's not earthshaking, but it was definitely worth my time and money to experience this lovingly crafted little piece.
Very small puzzle game with an original idea. It's difficult to explain it without giving too much away, but the game's description "Play as you playing as you to solve the puzzle" is a good way to explain it.
A very interesting fun experimental game that gets your brain working! The music works pretty well and sticks with you throughout the game as you progress.
A neat little Inception-esque puzzle box.
the controls are easy, then hard, then easy again. there are some very good snakes involved. very empowering to play, it gives you a lot of control over the various actors involved. except the snakes. 13/10
Oh wow! Great puzzle game! Really had me thinking differently.
Disclaimer: The game was offered for free by the developer through Curator Connect.
This was quirky fun and endearing!
Absolutely worth playing, and worth the money. Like people have said, mindbending, difficult but in a way that guarantees you'll never be stuck. It's not that you don't know the solution, for the most part you'll know the solution but it will be very mentally taxing to carry it out. Simple, elegant, with appreciated randomization so you could play it again while keeping quite a bit of the challenge.
Summary: ReYal is an intriguing puzzle game where you take on the role of a character who is playing a video and you need to figure out why. It is typical Xrrawva design, with basic and simple art and gameplay design and despite there being no threat, it still has horror tones to it to create a sense of unease, in a world that can’t be fully understood. 8/10
